Dr. Kruger was raised in Freeport, FL, where she graduated Valedictorian in 1999. She then pursued her AA degree from Okaloosa-Walton Community College (now NWFSC) and transferred to the University of Florida where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in 2003, majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Chemistry. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL, and subsequently moved to Las Vegas, NV, to complete an Internal Medicine Internship and Ophthalmology Residency. She was awarded the Outstanding Intern of 2008 and served as Chief Resident in 2012. From 2012-2013, Dr. Kruger completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, MI, through Kresge Eye Institute - Wayne State University. Dr. Kruger enjoys spending time with her husband and Huskies, traveling, playing the piano, and boating.
Misty is the Office Manager for Okaloosa Ophthalmology. She has been with Dr. Kruger a little over 2 years and has lived in the Milton area for 36 years. She has an Associates degree in Business Administration and has worked in the medical field for 20 years. She is a proud parent of 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 1 dog. Misty enjoys hunting with her husband and teaching children's church at Rock Creek Assembly of God.
Rebecca has an Associate of Arts degree from Okaloosa Walton Community College and attended the Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist training program at the University of Florida. Rebecca has been working in Ophthalmology for over 18 years. On her time off, she likes to spend time with her family and her little dog, Toby.
Kathy began her medical career in Orthopedics where she was an x-ray and cast technician for 15 years. She is now a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and has been working in Ophthalmology for 5 years. She states she loves the Ophthalmic field because she is constantly learning new things every day. The best thing about her job is working with the kids. When not at work, she enjoys painting portraits and landscapes. She also loves to travel, read, and spend time with family.
Crystal is a part of our front desk team. Her primary duties include patient check out and coordinating new referrals coming into the office. Crystal has 23 years of experience in public service. She and her husband, Shannon, will celebrate 20 years of marriage in 2020. Her daughter is attending the University of North Florida in Jacksonville where she is majoring in Multimedia Journalism. She has a fur baby, Tate, a German Shepherd. Crystal spends her free time reading and freshwater fishing the local rivers with her husband.
Hannah was born and raised in Minnesota where she attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and got a Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Health. She has worked in a few areas of ophthalmology and found a niche scribing. It’s the perfect job for an introvert who likes writing/grammar and thinks eyes are cool. She married her husband when they were both 28, and his military career brought them to Crestview. Hannah loves animals and currently has two dogs and a cat. Her hobbies include reading, knitting and crocheting, snuggling with the pups, and closing all the cupboard/closet doors her husband leaves open.
Lauren is an Administrative Assistant with Okaloosa Ophthalmology and she has 5 years’ experience in the healthcare field. She completed her Bachelor's degrees in Dietetics and Sociology from Florida State University. She and her husband moved to the Crestview area for his career. Her main duties include insurance verification and insurance authorizations. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her two dogs and husband as well as attempting to perfect her grandmother’s apple pie recipe.
Fedina is part of our front desk duo with 11 years' experience in several medical office settings. Her favorite duties are greeting and interacting with patients and their families as well as providing lollipops and stickers! She and her family recently moved back to the area after her husband, Shannon, completed his Army duties. They are very happy to be back with family and friends. She is a mother to three teenagers, three dogs, and a fish. Fedina loves coffee, the Florida Gators, and her Golden Girls.
