Dr. Tiffany Kruger

Dr. Tiffany Kruger

Board Certified Ophthalmologist


Fellowship trained in:
Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus

Dr. Kruger was raised nearby in Freeport, FL, and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Chemistry. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL, and subsequently moved to Las Vegas, NV, to complete an Internal Medicine Internship and Ophthalmology Residency. She was awarded the Outstanding Intern of 2008 and served as Chief Resident in 2012. The following year, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit through Kresge Eye Institute - Wayne State University.​​​​​​​ Outside of clinic and surgery, Dr. Kruger enjoys boating, traveling, white water rafting, and attending concerts with her husband, spoiling her 2 big boy malamutes and her little girl husky, and working in the yard. She loves playing the piano and violin and performing at church.

Misty

Office Manager

Misty has served as our Office Manager since 2017 and brings over 25 years of experience in the medical field, having begun her career in 2000. Her knowledge, leadership, and dedication play a vital role in the smooth operation of our practice. Outside of work, Misty is a proud mother and grandmother to two daughters, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson. She enjoys spending time outdoors, working in her yard, playing games with family, traveling with her sister and being active in her church.

VICTORIA

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant​​​​​​​


Victoria was a “military brat”, and she traveled to multiple states and countries. She also learned a few languages along the way. After college, marriage, and having children, she began her career as an ophthalmic technician in 1998. She has previously worked at Nemours Children’s Clinic in Jacksonville, FL and South Georgia Eye Partners in Valdosta, GA. Victoria started working at Okaloosa Ophthalmology in 2020 and says she is now thoroughly enjoying her new work family. She says she loves being a part of improving people’s vision. During her free time, she volunteers and assists with technician support groups. She also loves to bake, fly with her husband who is a pilot, camp, and attend to her houseful of pets.

Crystal

Surgery Coordinator​​​​​​​


Crystal is our Surgery Coordinator, and she also does insurance verifications for our office. She has extensive work experience, starting with optometry in 2011 and later joining our office in 2019. Crystal says that her favorite part of this job is helping people get the care they need. She has been happily married for over 20 years, and she has two very loveable pups at home. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading or fishing in the Gulf and in the local rivers.

Dana

Receptionist

Dana is one of our welcoming receptionists at Okaloosa Ophthalmology. She graduated from Crestview High School in 2002 and studied at Northwest Florida State College to receive her medical billing and coding certification. Dana has been working in the medical field for 15 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 wonderful daughters. They love cooking together and being anywhere near the water and out in the sunshine!

Megan

Receptionist

You’ll see Megan at the Receptionist Desk here at Okaloosa Ophthalmology. Originally from Kansas, Megan has lived all over the country, which includes Texas, Washington, Tennessee, Arizona, and now Florida, as a military spouse. Megan has worked in the medical field on and off since 2007, but also has her real estate license and para-professional certification as she loves working around children. In her free time, Megan likes reading, attending her children’s sporting events, and tending to her family’s numerous pets which include a dog, a cat, a tortoise, 16 chickens and honey bees.

Jennifer

Clinic Coordinator

Jennifer has lived most of her life in Florida, but spent lots of time with extended family in upstate NY and enjoys having in-laws in VA. She had ambitions of becoming an Optometrist when she went to school and earned her bachelor's in psychology at UWF. Jennifer started working in the world of eyes almost 20 years ago and has enjoyed the ride! She began as an Ophthalmic technician and transitioned into a Clinical Supervisor. She and her husband started a family shortly after that, and she became a proud stay at home mom of 2 boys. Jennifer is now excited to work back in the medical field with Dr. Kruger and her amazing staff! In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy being outside watching their boys ride dirt bikes and ATVS. She truly loves baking, DIY projects, organizing, and watching football!

Layne

Ophthalmic Scribe

Layne is one of our ophthalmic scribes. She began her career in optometry in 2022 before transitioning into ophthalmology to pursue her deeper passion for eye health. In 2024, Layne relocated to Florida with her partner and daughter. Originally from Texas and raised in Missouri, she is an avid baseball fan. Go ’Stros! When she’s not in clinic, Layne enjoys reading, watching baseball, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Caitlin

Ophthalmic Technician


Caitlin was born and raised in Pensacola, FL. She earned a softball scholarship to Coastal Alabama Community College in Brewton, AL, where she began her academic journey before completing her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of West Florida in 2021. In 2022, she moved to Franklin, Tennessee, where she began her career in eyecare as an optometric technician. She returned to Pensacola in 2024 and has continued to grow in the field ever since. Caitlin is currently studying for her COA certification and especially enjoys working with pediatric patients. Outside of work, she loves going to the beach, farmer's markets, spending time with her cats, trying new restaurants, and anything involving arts and crafts.

Gabriela

Ophthalmic Assistant

Gabriela Santiago is an Ophthalmic Assistant at Okaloosa Ophthalmology, where she performs diagnostic testing and assists Dr. Kruger during patient care. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she is bilingual — Hablo español! Gabriela previously worked as a checkout receptionist, gaining valuable experience in patient communication and office workflow. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (2023) and plans to obtain her COA certification in the future. Gabriela is a military spouse and mom to a beautiful daughter. True to her Puerto Rican roots, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time at the beach with her family.

Kayla

Ophthalmic Technician

Born and raised in DeFuniak Springs, Kayla began her career in eye care in 2014 as an optometrist assistant. From 2017 to 2020, she attended Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida, where she completed the Opticianry program and earned her Associate of Science degree along with several related certifications. Over the years, Kayla has also gained valuable experience in optical management. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her daughter and family, cooking, gardening, and attending church. She has always been passionate about learning more in the field of ophthalmology.

Savannah

Ophthalmic Technician


Savannah was born in San Antonio and grew up moving around as a military brat. She started her career in optometry as a technician in 2017. In 2020, she welcomed a daughter into the world and spent the next couple of years as a stay-at-home mom. After that, she returned to an optical shop in Niceville, FL where she worked again as an optometric technician. In her free time, Savannah loves spending time with her family, going to the gym, hiking, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.

Alejandra

Receptionist

Aly is one of our great receptionists who also translates for our Spanish-speaking patients. She recently moved from Miami to northwest Florida and has always had a strong interest in the medical field, which makes this role especially meaningful to her. In Aly's free time, she enjoys reading, painting, traveling (particularly to destinations with snow and mountains), and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops. On most weekends, she travels back to Miami to spend time with her family and dog, Frankie.

Michelle

Operating room scrub technician

Michelle is Dr. Kruger's operating room scrub technician. She has a strong commitment to patient care, collaboration, and lifelong learning. Outside of clinical work, Michelle has a deep appreciation for music of all kinds, art, travel, and entertainment. She's a big shopper for Antiques and likes to learn the history of something she can hold in her hands that can tell the story of something that once was, a long time ago. Michelle is particularly passionate about cooking and exploring diverse culinary traditions with a special interest in Italian cuisine. Italian family cuisine is a central part of culture and daily life in her family. It is not just about food, but about family, tradition, and togetherness. Randyn

Orthoptist

Randyn is a Florida panhandle native who brings more expertise to Okaloosa Ophthalmology. After graduating from Nova Southeastern University, he completed a specialized Orthoptist Certification through the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Randyn uniquely combines orthoptic care—focusing on binocular vision and non-surgical treatment for eye misalignment—with his skills as a multi-state Licensed Optician. He is dedicated to helping patients manage complex visual disorders and achieving clear, single, and comfortable sight. In his free time, Randyn enjoys traveling, culinary exploration, and spending time with his cat, Mocha.

Sharon

Insurance Specialist

Sharon is a Texas girl, born and raised, who joins Okaloosa Ophthalmology as an insurance specialist. Her healthcare career began in Dallas at Blue Cross/Blue Shield as an Underwriter. After getting married, she and her husband moved to San Antonio where she transitioned into Healthcare Administration. She worked there for over 20 years before retiring to Florida to be near their daughter. Sharon discovered that complete retirement wasn't for her and missed the connection with patients and the ever-changing healthcare industry in general. This is when she joined Dr. Kruger's team to work part time, which she really enjoys. Sharon's favorite pastime is traveling with her husband and planning and dreaming about their next destination. They have visited 48 countries at this point, and she can pack a bag in a flash! Their favorite place is Portugal, and their dream is to have a vacation home there to enjoy the beach and golfing in the year-round perfect weather. Sharon loves history, reading, cooking- especially new foods from travel destinations, their 20-year old miniature Schnauzer, and spending time with their children and 9 precious grandchildren.
