Dr. Kruger was raised nearby in Freeport, FL, graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Chemistry. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL, and subsequently moved to Las Vegas, NV, to complete an Internal Medicine Internship and Ophthalmology Residency. She was awarded the Outstanding Intern of 2008 and served as Chief Resident in 2012. The following year, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, MI, through Kresge Eye Institute - Wayne State University. Dr. Kruger enjoys spending time with her husband and Huskies, playing the piano for local churches, boating and fishing, white water rafting, and traveling.
Misty is the Office Manager for Okaloosa Ophthalmology and has been working with Dr. Kruger since 2017. She moved to the area in 1983 and has an associate's degree in Business Administration. She has worked in the medical field since 2000. Misty enjoys spending time with her family, hunting, going to car shows with her husband, and attending church at Rock Creek Assembly of God.
Rebecca has an Associate of Arts degree from Okaloosa Walton Community College and attended the Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist training program at the University of Florida. Rebecca has been working in Ophthalmology for over 18 years. On her time off, she likes to spend time with her family and her little dog, Toby.
Kathy began her medical career in Orthopedics where she was an x-ray and cast technician for 15 years. She is now a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and has been working in Ophthalmology for 5 years. She states she loves the Ophthalmic field because she is constantly learning new things every day. The best thing about her job is working with the kids. When not at work, she enjoys painting portraits and landscapes. She also loves to travel, read, and spend time with family.
Victoria was a “military brat”, and she traveled to multiple states and countries. She also learned a few languages along the way. After college, marriage, and having children, she began her career as an ophthalmic technician in 1998. She has previously worked at Nemours Children’s Clinic in Jacksonville, FL and South Georgia Eye Partners in Valdosta, GA. Victoria started working at Okaloosa Ophthalmology in 2020 and says she is now thoroughly enjoying her new work family. She says she loves being a part of improving people’s vision. She wants to help give them the best quality of care possible. During her free time, she volunteers and assists with technician support groups. She also loves to bake, fly with her husband who is a pilot, camp, and attend to her houseful of pets.
Hannah was born and raised in Minnesota where she attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and got a Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Health. She has worked in a few areas of ophthalmology and found a niche in scribing. It’s the perfect job for an introvert who likes writing/grammar and thinks eyes are cool. She married her husband when they were both 28, and his military career brought them to Crestview. Hannah loves animals and currently has two dogs and a cat. Her hobbies include reading, knitting, and crocheting, snuggling with the pups, and closing all the cupboard/closet doors her husband leaves open.
Crystal is our Surgery Coordinator, and she also does insurance verifications for our office. She has extensive work experience, starting with optometry in 2011 and later joining our office in 2019. Crystal says that her favorite part of this job is helping people get the care they need. She has been happily married for over 20 years, and she has two very loveable pups at home. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading or fishing in the Gulf and in the local rivers.
Myah works at the front desk scheduling patients, taking office calls, and translating for the entire office. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved back to Florida in 2016. Myah is a certified medical assistant and has worked in Internal Medicine and Nephrology before transitioning into pediatric care. She enjoys being able to be a part of all the children’s medical milestones. Myah married her middle school sweetheart in 2018 and relocated to the Crestview area in 2019. She and her husband enjoy binge-watching movies and caring for their three pets. Myah also loves reading, dancing, and spending time with friends and family!
